As a part of her role, she loves greeting and helping those who walk through OISS' doors (both via email and in-person). Growing up with Japanese and Mexican parents, one of her many interests included language and the ways it brought people together. This interest in language and culture led her to becoming a Gaucho herself, earning a BA in Japanese. After graduating, Rosa knew that her passion was to help others with the understanding that opportunities can take us beyond our homes, which brought her to OISS. In her off time, you can find Rosa building Legos, gaming, or dancing with SS805, one of UCSB's K-pop dance teams.
